Quick EXIF Writer is a free and small tool to add and edit a limited set of EXIF tags, namely the “UserComment” and “ImageDescription” tags. These two fields will help you to have your image collection better organized, allowing you to search and find any JPEG file by using the same keywords and expressions you usually type in to categorize your images.
None of these fields is controlled, which means that will accept any text you fill them in with, in any language, following your own rules. However, it is recommended that, to make the most of the Keywords field, you make your own list of key words, and that you use them consistently. Making use of a limited number of words will make your cataloging task easier, and will produce more accurate results whenever you look for a specific JPEG file. The program includes a simple search engine to help you locate your photos in seconds. It can search for any word or group of words in any of the two EXIF fields available, or in both of them simultaneously. However, you should know that the searches are case-sensitive – another good reason to keep your list of comments and words short and consistent.
The program has a simple interface with simple functionality that works. However, knowing the huge number of EXIF tags available out there, it is a pity that we can only work with two of them within the limits of Quick EXIF Writer.
